When a new version of Cryptic Emergency Traffic is released, always review the release information before updating.

Before Updating

Before replacing any files:

  1. Close GTA V.
  2. Close RagePluginHook.
  3. Back up your existing configuration file.
  4. Review the release notes.
  5. Check whether the update includes a new configuration file.
Do not assume every update can simply replace the previous version without checking the included instructions.

Installing the Update

  1. Download the latest version.
  2. Extract the archive.
  3. Review the included files.
  4. Follow the provided folder structure.
  5. Replace existing plugin files where required.

Configuration Changes

Some updates may include an updated .ini file.

Review the new configuration carefully before replacing it with an older customised version.

Using an outdated configuration file may cause you to miss new settings or improvements included with an update.
Compare your old configuration with the new version and transfer your preferred settings where appropriate.

After Updating

After installing the update:

  1. Launch GTA V through RagePluginHook.
  2. Start LSPDFR.
  3. Confirm that Cryptic Emergency Traffic loads successfully.
  4. Test the plugin during a normal emergency response.
If the plugin behaves unexpectedly after updating, check that all files from the previous version were updated correctly and review the new configuration file.
