Cryptic Emergency Traffic is designed to improve emergency traffic behaviour without forcing every vehicle nearby into unnecessary or unrealistic reactions.

The plugin focuses primarily on civilian traffic that is relevant to your emergency response.

Normal Emergency Responses

During a normal emergency response, civilian traffic ahead of the emergency vehicle can react and make room.

The goal is to create a clearer route without causing excessive braking, unnecessary reactions, or chaotic manoeuvres.

Traffic behaviour is designed to feel controlled and natural rather than forcing every nearby vehicle to perform the same scripted action.

Traffic Ahead

Cryptic Emergency Traffic focuses on vehicles that are actually relevant to the emergency vehicle's direction of travel.

This helps avoid unnecessary interference with:

  • Opposing traffic
  • Unrelated vehicles
  • Vehicles outside the immediate response path
Not every vehicle in the surrounding area needs to react for an emergency response to work correctly. The plugin focuses on traffic that needs to make room.

High-Speed Responses

During faster emergency driving, traffic behaviour is handled more carefully to reduce aggressive reactions.

This helps reduce problems such as:

  • Sudden braking
  • Brake-checking
  • Repeated traffic reactions
  • Unnatural manoeuvres
Cryptic Emergency Traffic is designed to balance road clearing with natural traffic behaviour rather than forcing vehicles to react as aggressively as possible.

Active Pursuits

During an active LSPDFR pursuit, Cryptic Emergency Traffic is designed to reduce or avoid unnecessary civilian yielding behaviour.

This helps prevent interference with:

  • Pursuit suspects
  • AI backup units
  • Other emergency vehicles
  • High-speed pursuit situations
Pursuits are handled differently from normal emergency responses because aggressive traffic-yielding behaviour can interfere with the pursuit itself.

Traffic Stops

Vehicles involved in traffic stops are handled differently to prevent unwanted interference from emergency traffic behaviour.

The goal is to avoid causing stopped vehicles or nearby emergency units to react incorrectly.

If traffic behaves unexpectedly during a traffic stop, check for other plugins that may also modify traffic or emergency vehicle behaviour.

Emergency Vehicles

Cryptic Emergency Traffic is designed to account for emergency vehicles and backup units so they are not unnecessarily treated like normal civilian traffic.

This helps reduce interference when multiple emergency vehicles are operating in the same area.

The plugin is designed to leave traffic alone when intervention is unnecessary.
