If Cryptic Emergency Traffic is not working correctly, use this guide to identify common problems before reporting an issue.

Traffic Does Not Move

If civilian traffic does not react during an emergency response, check:

  • That Cryptic Emergency Traffic has loaded successfully.
  • That you are using an emergency vehicle.
  • That your emergency response conditions meet the plugin's requirements.
  • That another traffic-yielding plugin is not interfering.

Check the relevant logs to confirm the plugin loaded successfully.

Test the plugin with other traffic-yielding mods removed or disabled to help identify possible conflicts.

Traffic Behaves Erratically

Unexpected behaviour may include:

  • Sudden braking
  • Repeated stopping and starting
  • Unnatural manoeuvres
  • Excessive reactions

First check whether another plugin is also modifying traffic behaviour.

Running multiple plugins that control emergency traffic yielding can result in conflicting AI instructions.

Problems During Pursuits

If traffic or vehicles behave unexpectedly during a pursuit:

  1. Confirm you are using the latest version of Cryptic Emergency Traffic.
  2. Check for other traffic or pursuit-related plugins.
  3. Review your configuration.
  4. Check the RagePluginHook log for relevant errors.
Pursuit handling is intentionally different from normal emergency traffic behaviour to reduce interference with suspects and pursuing units.

Plugin Does Not Load

If Cryptic Emergency Traffic does not load:

  • Check that all required files are installed.
  • Confirm the files are in the correct directory.
  • Confirm RagePluginHook and LSPDFR are functioning correctly.
  • Check your logs for loading errors.
