Cryptic Emergency Traffic includes a configurable .ini file that allows you to customise supported behaviour.

The configuration file included with your version of the plugin is the best reference for the available settings.

Configuration options may change between versions. Always review the configuration file included with the version you are using.

Editing the Configuration

Before changing any settings:

  1. Close GTA V.
  2. Close RagePluginHook.
  3. Create a backup of your existing .ini file.
  4. Open the configuration file using a text editor.
  5. Change the desired settings.
  6. Save the file.
Incorrect formatting or invalid configuration values may cause the plugin to behave unexpectedly.

Understanding Settings

Configuration options control supported aspects of Cryptic Emergency Traffic's behaviour.

Depending on the version installed, settings may affect how aggressively civilian traffic reacts and how the plugin handles different emergency situations.

Change one setting at a time and test the result in-game. This makes it much easier to identify which setting is responsible for a change in behaviour.

Updating Your Configuration

New versions may include an updated configuration file with:

  • New settings
  • Changed default values
  • Additional comments
  • Improved behaviour controls
Do not automatically overwrite a new configuration file with an older version. Check for new settings first.
Back up your existing configuration before updating so you can transfer your preferred settings safely.
