Edit:

Grand Theft Auto V Legacy\plugins\LSPDFR\CrypticEvidence\CrypticEvidence.ini

Close GTA V and RagePluginHook, back up the INI, then edit it with a plain-text editor.

General Settings

SettingDefaultPurposeAccepted range
EnabledtrueEnables the plugintrue / false
ObjectScale1.0Adjusts workbench object scale0.6–1.4
HoldMilliseconds650Hold duration for applicable interactions250–3000
DevelopMilliseconds3500Reaction development time1500–15000
MixMilliseconds1800Minimum mixing duration800–10000
WriteBackToPRtrueAllows correct Stage 2 results to mark PR evidence analyzedtrue / false

Timing values are milliseconds. Numeric values outside the listed ranges are clamped.

Sample collection uses a minimum hold of 900 milliseconds. Mixing also requires sufficient mouse movement, so reducing its timer does not remove the shaking requirement.

Physical-Form Profiles

The [Profiles] section maps an exact evidence description to its physical form.

Supported values are:

Powder, Crystal, Tablet, Liquid, Plant, Residue, Blotter

Example:

ini Copy
[Profiles]
a bag of white powder=Powder
an unmarked pill bottle=Tablet
a small vial of liquid=Liquid

Use the actual evidence description shown by Policing Redefined. Matching ignores letter case.

Remove the leading semicolon from an example to activate it.

An unsupported profile value causes configuration loading to fail. Use one of the seven accepted form names.

What Profiles Do

Profiles select the item’s physical presentation and collection method.

They do not:

  • Add drugs to Policing Redefined
  • Change an item’s stored drug type
  • Define a positive test result
  • Add new test families
A description such as “a syringe” or “a vial” identifies a container, not necessarily the physical form of its contents. Use a profile only when you know which form is appropriate.

Automatic Form Detection

Without an exact profile, the plugin checks for words indicating a supported form.

For example, “powder” can resolve to Powder, while “pill” or “capsule” can resolve to Tablet.

Descriptions matching multiple forms, or none, require manual selection.

Applying Changes

Save the INI and restart the game.

Change one option at a time. Keep an unedited configuration from the same release so you can restore defaults.
