Plugin Compatibility

Learn which plugins and modifications are compatible.

Cryptic mods are designed to work alongside a variety of LSPDFR plugins and modifications. However, compatibility can depend on the specific mods installed, the versions you are using, and how those mods interact with the same areas of the game.

Compatibility

Cryptic mods are developed with compatibility in mind wherever possible.

However, compatibility with every third-party plugin cannot be guaranteed. Other mods may modify:

  • LSPDFR behaviour
  • Traffic behaviour
  • Callout systems
  • AI behaviour
  • Emergency services
  • Game files and natives

Mods that alter the same systems may cause unexpected behaviour or conflicts.

Compatibility information may differ between individual Cryptic mods. Always check the documentation for the specific mod you are using.

Using Multiple Plugins

Running multiple LSPDFR plugins is completely normal, but each additional plugin increases the possibility of conflicts.

If you experience problems after installing a new plugin:

  1. Check whether the issue occurs without the new plugin installed.
  2. Confirm all plugins are compatible with your version of GTA V and LSPDFR.
  3. Check for outdated dependencies.
  4. Review the relevant troubleshooting documentation.
When troubleshooting compatibility issues, add or remove one plugin at a time. This makes it much easier to identify which plugin is causing the problem.

Unsupported Modifications

Cryptic cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party modification.

This includes:

  • Outdated plugins
  • Modified or unofficial versions of plugins
  • Mods that replace or alter the same functionality
  • Unsupported game versions
Installing multiple mods that control the same gameplay system may cause conflicts, unexpected behaviour, or reduced stability.

Reporting Compatibility Issues

If you believe another plugin conflicts with a Cryptic mod, collect as much information as possible before reporting the issue.

Include:

  • The Cryptic mod and version you are using
  • The other plugin involved
  • The version of the other plugin
  • What happens when the conflict occurs
  • Any relevant error messages or logs
Do not report a compatibility issue without first confirming that the problem is reproducible. If possible, test the Cryptic mod separately before reporting a conflict.
